Lot 1 - Old Hickory Furniture Motto Ad Sign Martinsville
Old wooden advertising sign for Old Hickory Furniture Company, out of Martinsville, Indiana. Yellow letters painted on red background read "Let Us Show You Old Hickory Furniture Furnish the Great Outdoors." Very likely originally part of a larger display or even a wall of a building, the "sign" consists of 4 boards, with 2 endpieces nailed on at a later date. The original section measures 16" x 29". Obvious age, wear and paint flaking but still intact and easily legible. Excellent collector piece. Very good condition.

Lot 2 - Smoker Paddles Oar Advertising Sign New Paris IN
4 old Smoker brand canoe paddles, manufacured by the Smoker Lbr. Company of New Paris, Indiana. Also a store display with notches for displaying up to 6 paddles. The paddles are each 5 feet long. The display measures 45 1/4" by 8 1/8" x 3 3/4". All pieces show signs of age and wear but are in basically very good shape.

Lot 3 - Vintage Firestone Advertising Enamel Sign 9' tall!
Vintage Firestone Advertising Enameled steel Store Sign. Approx. 9 feet tall by 18in. wide. Very good to excellent vintage condition. A few small rust spots, one atop the "F" and next to "i", and in areas along edge. Does not detract from the overall cosmetic effect. as-is.

Double sided enameled metal squirt sign, copyright 1955. 13 1/4in. tall by 17 1/2in. wide. Slight bubbling/loss around edges. Along with a cardboard litho dr. pepper sign featuring Rita Daigle promo ca. 1950s. 15in. by 25in. Brown spots upper left corner, bumps to corners, 3 1/4in. rip top right corner.

Tall Red metal enamel advertising sign/thermometer for R.J. Becht & Son, a Cincinnati custom sports clothing company. Company logo includes a silhouette of a horse and rider. Measures 36 1/2" x 8". Some rusting, fading, discoloration as would be expected with a piece this old. But overall in nice shape, intact and legible.

Lot 7 - Vintage Farm Ad Sign Dekalb Champions Salt 2pc
"Diamond Crystal Mineralized Salt" enameled metal advertising thermometer. 14in. x 20in. In very good condition with no damage. Dekalb Hybrids litho on masonite sign. 16in. x 24in. Good overall condition. Bottom left corner missing. Bumps to corners with wear to bottome edge.

Vintage metal enamel 7up store sign, manufactured by the Stout Sign Company, St Louis. Measures 19" x 16" x 1 3/4"deep. Some rusting, slight fading and discoloration as would be expected with a piece this old. But overall in nice shape, intact and legible.

Lot 10 - Vintage Ad Signs 3 Coca Cola Canada Dry Eat Bread
Coca Cola litho enameled thermometer, 17in. tall, area of rust over the words "Coca Cola". Along with an enamel, "Drink Canada Dry" sign, 7in. x 24in., areas of rust and some bubbling mainly to the edges. And an enameled metal "Eat Golden Toast Bread" sign, 3in. x 31 1/2in., crackling and bubbling to paint with rust. Paint is secure nevertheless.

Lot 13 - Old Mini Type Set Kits Boy Scout First Aid Tins+++
Large lot (approx. 11 pieces) antique learning tools (for boys). 2 miniature type set kits; "The Boys Printer" in litho box, incomplete. And wooden box with sliding lid and paper label: "Baltimorean, Educate Your Boys". Looks to be fairly complete with instructions. Measures; 4 1/2"h x 9 1/2"w x 4 1/4"d. Official Boy Scouts First Aid Kit, looks complete, along with registration card. Nat'l Radio Institute ruler and tin mini protractor with thumbtack tin, Indian head stamp pad, and brass fasteners box. Kerney's Catechism US History 1882, and The Union Spelling Book, illustrated, 1838, both with wear. Sold as is.

Cinco "Handy Humidor" with handle in G condition with fading, rust, and dents. 8 1/4"dia. Dark Sweet Cuba Fine Cut Tobacco round tin in G condition with substantial wear, partial paper label intact center of lid. See photos.

4 pieces advertizing and alcohol memorabilia. Schlitz Beer vintage metal advertising sign. 7" x 11" with some slight surface scratches, and light rust. JA Dougherty's Sons Pure Rye Medicinal whiskey bottle in box. 8 1/2"H with box showing wear, and missing lid. Paper label on bottle has water staining. American Mfg. Co. steam guage with copper frame, patented 1903. Can Billy Carter beer.

Large, 10"H, Dexin cannister with lid, rust spots throughout and around bottom. Dr. LeGear's Poultry Prescription tonic box with litho paper applied packaging, unopened, in very good condition.

George Washington cut plug tin with hinged lid with clasp and handle in VG to VG- condition. 2 cigar tins; Tennyson and Humo in VG to G condition. Chesterfield cigarette tin in VG condition, 4 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Lot 32 - Old Taxi Meter & Oil Cans 6pc Ohmer Wards Dayton
6 pieces old Automotive advertising memorabilia. 2 vintage iron taxi meters: One with blue enamel is coin operated (45cents) with an arm embossed "Vacant", manufactured by Ohmer Fare Register Company (Dayton OH), 9 3/8" x 8 1/4" x 9"; the other is enameled silver, but looks to have originally been yellow, manufacured by the Dayton Taximeter Corporation, 4 1/2" x 8" x 5". Both show signs of wear and age (some rusting, paint loss, etc) but are in pretty good shape. Along with 3 old tins (all empty): a gallon can of Pennzoil Motor Oil (7 3/4" x 6 1/2"), a quart can of Wards Engine Tone (6 7/8" x 4 1/2"), and a can of Riverside Cream Separator Oil (Montgomery Ward, 5 1/4" x 8", w/handle, no cap). Also an old wooden-handled aluminum oil or gas can, 9 1/2" tall x 6 1/4" across). As with the cab meters, the cans show age, wear, paint loss, rust -- but are intact, no holes, caps screw on and off, etc. Sold as is.

Lot 33 - Tin Litho Advertising Tip Trays 2 Pharoah's Horses
2 tin litho advertising tip trays. One is for O.P. Raber the Druggist (Kendallville & Corunna, Indiana) with Paroah's three Arabian horses. The other is for De Laval Cream Separators (New York-Chicago-Montreal) with picture of the separator itself. Each measures 4 1/4" across in good shape with some wear. Some of the lettering has worn off the Raber tray.

Lot 34 - Celluloid Indian Comb Mirror Niagara Falls Souvenir
Niagara Falls souvenir -- a comb in celluloid case. Case is molded in the shape of an Indian brave. The Indian holds a bow in front of him and a 1 3/4" mirror behind him. Shows some wear from use. Comb is missing 3 teeth. Indian measures 4 1/4" long.

Lot 35 - Folk Art Advertising Display Carved Old Times Rye
Folk art hand carved well-dressed man figure Old Times Rye advertising store display on pedestal. This is a hand made piece of Antique style folk art. Figure carved from one piece of wood. Cane is removeable. Hair is applied wool? 59" tall, base is 10" x 11". Has a couple tiny paint chips to edge of top hat. Paint has an intentional, subtle crackle finish.

Nestlé advertising hand painted mural on canvas. "Serving Humanity Throughout the World". Supposed to have hung in the Nestle Company's general managers office for years. 71" x 122". Tobacco? stains toward the top. Light horizontal crease through the middle.

Wool Soap advertising pin back button, 1896 pat. date on back. 2 1/8'dia. The Globe Clothing House, Warsaw IN advertising purse mirror. Smoke Chapman's Cigars paper pouch with stitched edge, Warsaw IN. 3" Swan Vestas cardboard match box with structural damage to "push ends" on inner box. Cardboard Litho "Il Cosmet" powder box in very good condition with discoloration to one side of lid. 3 1/2"h Betsy Ross Tea tin with paper label. Sen-Sen throat ease and Breathe purfume tin dispenser with mints inside which look like charcoal. Empty 2 1/8" Fulton stamp pad tin. Sold as is.

4 pieces vintage advertising pieces. 2 3/4"h Tin Litho Planters Peanuts cup in good condition with slight loss. Tin litho Buster Brown Shoes clicker in very good condition with a few scuffs and/or scratches. Early plastic 7 1/8" Fuller figural letter opener in very good condition with slight wear to opener section. Nehi beverage flapper shoe 3 1/8" bottle opener with fold in knife in very good condition.

Lot 39 - Monarch Label Glass Butter Churn Coffee Catsup 3pc
3-piece glass advertising lot, all Monarch brand. Includes a butter churn with metal lid/gears and wooden handle & blades, 13" tall by 6" across, "Monarch Finer Foods" molded in glass, seems to work. Also a 14 1/2 oz Monarch Tomato Catsup bottle, 9 3/4" tall; and a one pound Monarch Coffee jar, 6 1/4" tall, with metal lid. Both with paper labels. All three pieces feature a picture of a lion's head and are in reasonably good condition. No big torn sections from the labels.

Lot 40 - Old Monarch Brand Tins (7) Tea Coffee Spices Cocoa
7-piece lot of old Monarch brand containers. 2 Tea tins: green tea, 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"; and imperial gun powder tea, 6" x 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", tin top and bottom, cardboard sides. Both are beautiful with colorful renderings of tea fields. One breakfast cocoa tin, 6" x 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", still has quite a bit of cocoa left. One ground cinnamon tin, 1 7/8" x 2 3/8". One bouillon cubes tin, 1/2" x 2 5/8". One stick cinnamon box, 4" x 2 1/2", with lots of cinnamon left. One peppermint extract bottle, still nearly full, 3 3/4" tall, in original box. Very pretty pieces, all with the Monarch lion. Some age wear but basically in very good condition.
