We have attributed this table to The Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, c1940's. Constructed entirely of plate glass, it is 1 " thick and very heavy. The legs are of 4 square pieces that are kept "upright" by 3 walnut pegs that screw-tight in between each piece. Measuring 42" wide and 72" long, the bottom of the table top stands 29" from the floor. In very good condition, you will find some surface wear and light scratches that can certainly be polished and  you can see two areas on one of the legs that are chipped. These chips are stable as we have moved this table several times.  Reduced to $1500

This piece is executed in the style of Reverend Ben Davis of South Carolina, I think. It has a chip carved frame applied with many fine, small pieces of rhododendron  root. Great accessory for the Arts and Crafts or Old Hickory collectors. It is in very good condition. A few pieces of the root have been lost, maybe 4 of hundreds. (see image) It had been painted and we have painstakingly removed the old paint to find the original finish. Measures 44" x 48" x 6".
